Juabeng Senior High School is located at Juaben in the Ashanti, some ten kilometers from Ejisu. The school started as a Girls' school with the name Juaben Methodist Girls’ Boarding and Day School in 1950. The land that houses the school was donated by Nana Yaw Sarpong II, the then Omanhene of Juaben Traditional Area.
The Girls’ School was turned into Juaben Methodist Women’s Training College on 25th October, 1962 with Mrs. H.M Dolling as the acting Principal. On 3rd November, 1972, JUASS again became a Co-educational Secondary School with the name Juaben Secondary School with 87 students with Mrs. Rose E. Coker as the first Headmistress. Its metamorphosis into the Juaben Senior Secondary School and now Juaben Senior High School were by the policies of the Ministry of Education.

A CHAPEL: Signifying that the school is a mission school; hence religious activities are paramount in the school.
A BIBLE: this is the holy book of Christianity. The school, therefore, cherishes the word of God as a major source of the spiritual and moral well-being of the students and others within the community.
LION: Beneath the chapel and the bible is a lion. It is the totem of the Juaben Traditional Area. Thus the school recognizes the partnership that exists between the school and the traditional authorities.
MOTTO: The motto of the school is: “NYAMESURO NE NIMDEԐ” meaning the Fear of God is Wisdom..
